A bit on the light side, my Jr. FA’s typically start around $75k -$85k range depending on internships - and that’s at the corporate level reporting to the CFO, I would expect a regional office FP&A role to pay a solid amount less . Keep in mind you still have very little experience which holds significant weight in FP&A positions as it is very broad and requires solid understanding of all business functions, from accounting to operations to debt refinancing things you don’t get exposure to in 1.5 years. For reference, my Sr. FA’s start at around $100k with $115 TC and I typically look for minimum 5 years experience at a corporate level FO&A role. We only hire accounting and finance majors. You need to focus on setting yourself apart those first few years, grind hard and get on as many big projects as you can. Work on your interpersonal and leadership skills, this becomes very important when moving past the FM level. I started off in equity research making $45k 8 years ago, things start happening quick if you work your ass off, continue to learn, and prove your value. At the same time, don’t get taken advantage of. Keep your options and take interviews to stay sharp, no reason you can’t find something in the 75-85k range
