Did anyone take unisom for nausea? How often?

My husband has gone to every appt. Never missed one. Leaves work early too to go if he needs to.

Did your husband just automatically expect to be at every appt? Did u have to explain it to him? I’d love for mine to be at every one but he doesn’t feel he needs to be at any. Especially if it requires him to miss out on sleep, or requires time off.

My husband decided on his own that his plan was to go to every appointment, and we agreed I absolutely should not go to ultrasounds alone, in case of bad news. If your husband thinks less than 7 hours is impossible, he's in for a rude awakening with a baby.

He doesn’t need to use a vacation day since he’s working 8 hr nights! His mom possibly, I just hate to bring family into our disagreements. I prefer anonymous Reddit posts lol!

I took 25mg with B6 every night between weeks 7-11 and it helped SOOOO much with the nausea (and sleep). I eventually tapered off once the nausea was completely gone (first tried quitting unisom cold turkey and it SUCKED). I’m 20w now and every so often I have a restless night and I’ll take 1/2 or 1/4 of a tablet and it gets me right to sleep.

Is it possible to build up a tolerance? Not for the sleep part but for it to work for nausea?

Not that I’m aware of, but perhaps. But it’s unlikely your first trimester morning sickness would last long enough for a tolerance to build up like that. For most women, the morning sickness subsides substantially by beginning of the 2nd trimester (that’s when I tapered off the unisom). By week 11, I was actually feeling much better. I hope you have a similar experience! Besides some headaches, mild back pain, and heartburn, 2nd trimester has been absolutely lovely. Makes first trimester hell worth it!
