I think there will be a fair amount of flashbacks but the main plot will probably be in the current timeline.

Honestly, most of my anxiety comes from the fear that they won’t adapt some of the greatest moments of the second book into the show. I’d love to see both the past and present timelines, I don’t really care in what way they do it whether it’s flashbacks or not I just hope it happens! (:

I think about it this way. I have my opinions on what the best moments of the book are, but the writers are going to have different opinions. They’re not in my head, so I can’t expect them to know what my favorites are and do them the way I imagine them.

You know what, you make a few very valid points. I suppose it’s unrealistic for expectations of the show to meet fans’ absolute highest standards. As i’ve said before I think they will do a magnificent job either way and I have an abundance of faith in the crew, but of course as a passionate fan of the series I hope there’s at least a couple scenes derived straight from the book. I too have a few in mind and I guess all I can do is cross my fingers (:

I love the teaser, Sam Reid was born to play Lestat! But don’t worry of course they will keep the back and forth flashbacks and follow the books. I love how they changed so much things and yet keep the essence and vibe of the story. Of course next season will be the same.
