Found East Jones Inlet, NY. Silver, 3 Grams. This may be something ancient, hoping someone spots something as a clue. The only clue I have is that indent on the rim. Looks intentional. What looks to be a mess in the middle is not a melting shank or copper. Thx for looking.

Surface find while detecting an old beach frequented by the rich back in the day. That’s why I’m counting on it being real. Condition, cloudy,,,but I’m assuming it was tumbling in the same spot for >100 years in an iron rich environment. I’ll post an update after the visit. Thx for looking

Dropped it in water, sunk immediately. It scratched glass. Can’t explain the cloudiness unless constant tumbling in an iron rich environment for a very long time may cause such an anomaly, or it’s not real. .22 grams if that makes any difference. Additional info below. Thank You
