[ALttP] I just completed my first Zelda game
(yes I did beat Ganon but I forgot to make a screenshot during credits so just loaded up my save)
I just started up this game on a whim one day and got hooked pretty much immediately.
Honestly I did not expect this to be so good of a game given how old it is. It aged really well. I wouldn't call it perfect as there were a few frustrating parts and the world seemed a bit small but overall the gameplay felt fair and well thought-out with interesting puzzles, beautiful sound and graphics and decent length. It just kept me always engaged and I enjoyed looking for new secrets and other cool stuff. Most of the time it felt on the easier side but the last dungeon sure had some nasty rooms in it.
Never played any of Zelda games in my childhood and not even any SNES game so no nostalgia here. For the record I tried beating Zelda 2 just before this but I haven't made it past second palace, it's just so difficult to the point of feeling unfair. Might try other Zelda games in the future but as far as retro gaming goes, Super Metroid is next on my list.
