White lotus season 2 | The Party by Elizabeth Day

Has anyone else read The Party by Elizabeth Day? I just so happened to be reading it while watching white lotus season 2. I noticed a suspicious amount of similarities between the plot/couple dynamic of Martin, Lucy, Serena, and Ben and Ethan, Harper, Daphne, and Theo. Not saying there was plagiarism but seems to have been a strong inspiration for the white lotus couples character trope.
