Why do SOME people have good results on finasteride and TERRIBLE results on dutasteride?

No dut master race gas lighting answers lol. I was just on Dutasteride 0.5mg ED for 10 months, now switching back to Fin 1mg after losing 50% of my hairline. I've gone through every variable that I can control; vitamins, scalp care, exercise, cardio. Dutasteride not only didn't work, but it actively worsened my hair loss. I don't mean shedding (that definitely happened though). I mean severe miniaturization of the next cycles of hair.

It wasn't the dreadshead or I stopped too early. There is an androgenic/systemic change happening that I don't understand. Hairs are weak and dying. Losing color in dht zones. Barren- no baby hairs. Literally not a single hair of regrowth even though my DHT serum levels are 5ng/dL. My crown is even worse and that never remotely had a problem before.

Is the extra 150% scalp testosterone increase on Dut vs. Fin more important than we think? Do you need serum DHT for collagen production, and scalp DHT is the main problem? Idk.
