Vapes kill tolerance?

I want to try a vape, but the dude at my dispensary told me it’ll kill my tolerance and he didn’t seem to recommend them. What do you guys think? Anyone use a vape to smoke?

I bought a disposable one, and it’s fine, but I want a little bit better of a high.
