sagemcom fast 5688w gateway issues
Hello all, I've been using T-mobile's 5g network for around 2 months now. Speeds are great.. especially compared to the Cincinnati Bell internet I've had for YEARS. Lately though, I've been having a few issues.
My router gives me an error code CEL002. This is starting to happen more frequently. I come here just wanting to know what this error code means, as I couldn't find anything on Google regarding this code. I've seen threads about a WAN002, but not the CEL002 I'm personally struggling with.
This may not be a router thing, but I believe it might be. If it's not, please disregard this entirely. I like to game. Lately, I've been playing a lot of GTA V online. However, whenever I boot up my game, I'm greeted with error 3000.108. I've read this can be due to a new login from a differing IP address, however I always log in from my desktop connected to the gateway via ethernet. This problem seems to have started when I chose to use an ethernet connection.
Any insight would be a huge help to me! Thank you in advance, members of this community.
UPDATE I decided to buy a small USB fan off of Amazon. I gave it a while, I'd say it's been about less than a month maybe? I've had literally 0 issues after installing the fan. CEL002 turned out to be an overheating error after all! I hope this helps anyone Googling/Redditing with the same issues I've had. Just find a small USB fan off of Amazon (~15 USD) and prop your Sagemcom Fast 5688W router on it. There's a built in USB-C port on the router, so you'll have to get your hands on an adapter. But, if you're like me, tired of your router cutting out for what seems to be no reason, this shouldn't be too much of a hassle. Good luck!
