Shot Callers! How to Improve in Large Scale PvP Strategies and Concepts

Greetings!

Seeker (Wand/Longbow) here and I’m writing this post in pursuit of trying to improve in my overall general strategy and concepts to win more large scale PvP (Boonstones, Riftstones, and Siege).

I just joined a guild with some incredible people and while I’m confident in my abilities as a healer in both small scale and large scale combat, I’d like to improve in the WHY’S of the strategies as well as my contribution with the leaders.

I’ve tried searching before, but could never really find any good content that was what I’m looking for so I thought I’d try to see if we could all hive mind this and improve- together.

I think one thing that might help, is thinking of things from a shot callers perspective.

To help make this organized, here are a few starting questions-

  1. How do you determine the best groupings? Better to have elite groups or more balanced groups in reference to both skill and combat power/fear?

  2. How do you approach Zerg v Zergs? Or initiating combat? What are the small and big picture things that are essential?

  3. What resources have been helpful to your growth and understanding of combat tactics (and are these more innate or learned)?

  4. How to learn about better positioning, rotations, and when to take risks vs. be more conservative

I’m very self critical and genuinely just want to do better, and be better for my guild, but recognize that there is a gap between my overall in depth understanding of how/what to do to effectively win these larger scale PvPs

Thanks so much for your time and help!

May you all have a healing touch, and natures blessing! 😜
