So happy about this P14S deal
After getting sick of hearing my SO complain about their crappy mid-tier laptop, I went on Lenovo's website and snatched a P14S with AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 8840HS, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of SSD for around 800 EUR.
It's the first ThinkPad I get my hands on and I'm quite amazed by it! I know that build isn't great, but it was heavily discounted and, at that price, it feels like amazing value for money.
I'm a software developer who's been daily riding an M1 MacBook Pro for a couple years now and I can totally see myself using it.
It's all plastic, but still feels sturdy and well put together. I love the function over form vibes that it gives. My MacBook's unibody is gorgeous, but so damn heavy. And the screen is so thin that I worry every time I have to travel with it.
The only thing I'd probably miss is the wonderful 4k Retina display.
The MacBook is so beautiful and hassle-free, but I think I'll give ThinkPad (T or X) + Linux a go for my next laptop
