Themes of motherhood?

Looking for fictional books with themes on motherhood. Nothing saccharine, I loved books like “shark heart” where it isn’t a book ABOUT motherhood, but it’s a major theme. I just started “all fours” and can tell it’s the same way, not the main focus but a bit thread that comes and goes. Thanks!!
