What is a healthy relationship with alcohol?

Sometimes I wish my brain was less addictive and I learned how to have a healthy relationship with alcohol. Is there a healthy relationship with alcohol? Is there a healthy relationship with poison?

Nothing can compare to the bliss of a numbed-out world, like a cloud is carrying you higher than all your problems, fears, insecurities, and spiralling thoughts that reach up from the ground trying to pull you back down. Nothing can compare to the shame and hatred that slam into your mind the next morning, hammering in feelings of not being good enough to even be alive.

Why is this only a poison to some but not all? Why are some people destined to be cursed the second they take their first drink while others will die blissfully unaware of the wickedness that is found at the bottom of a bottle?
