Best Demon wrist guard flavour?

So it turns out that wrists are the low hanging fruit with snowboarding when it comes to protection (even above a helmet interestingly). After a lot of research, it appears most people (though not all) prefer the Flexmeter wrist guards above the rest.

However, there are a few different types:

1: Demon Wrist Guards

2: Demon Flex Wrist Guards

3: Demon Flexmeter Single Sided Wrist Guards

4: Demon Flexmeter Double Sided Wrist Guards

I don't think [1] is really worth looking at. Even though its price is budget, its protection is probably sub-par.

[2] Looks interesting and will fit my existing gloves well. However, does it offer as much protection as [3] or [4]?

Regarding [3] (single slint) versus [4] (double slint), Gdog42 at this forum said:

"This is a link to the page for the double sided <slint>, which you won't ever need for snowboarding. The double-sided one controls the movement of the wrist in exactly the same way as the single-sided guard. The reason the double-sided one has an additional plastic piece over the palm is to protect your skin from concrete and similar material when not on snow"

Do you guys agree with that conclusion?
