Feeling optimistic about 2025

I got into my first car accident driving to work a few days ago bc I lost control of the car getting off the I-280 on a steeply curved ramp and hit one of those temp roadwork signs. The car’s registration is expired + past due for inspection (it isn’t mine) + I was driving without my license bc I was late for work and couldn’t find it earlier. The only repercussions will be replacing the muffler (which got punctured by the sign metal) and a wheel rim (got chipped). No impoundment, no insurance rates going up, no MVA report filed by the police, no paying for the destroyed construction sign, no fines etc etc.

The scariest thing was that I almost got hit by someone who was probably pissed off that the car was taking up space and sped too tightly around it when I was trying to see what was going on (it was an exit to merge sort of lane w no shoulder to pull over into so I was stuck in a pretty inconvenient spot) but I ultimately walked away completely fine (just super scared), so I am feeling like the luckiest girl in the world thinking about how easily wrong each factor of my situation could have gone. Plus I have the financial stability now to pay for all the replacements out of pocket without having to put it on my credit card. Ironically this event has also made me excited for 2025. Posting to remind u guys that when things seem hopeless and truly fucked it will all be ok⭐️
