Wikipedia is the internet’s crowning achievement

Reliable entries on any topic, place, person, etc updated in real time by an army of volunteers. No annoying pop-ups. No required login captcha test dual factor authentication bs. No $4 for the first 4 months, no family subscriptions, no article limits, no shitty UX enhancements, no payola schemes. It's just free for everyone, always.

It's the only site that reliably gets me with it's donation campaigns because I can't bear the thought of it being corrupted by the ghouls.

Edit: Wikipedia has a healthy endowment apparently funded by large organizational donors. I guess I'll save my $2.75 next time :(
