Printing 2.85mm Filament on Prusa

I have some 2.85mm filament and wanted to see if I can print in on my Prusa.

Is it as simple as swapping the V6 hot end for one that takes 2.85mm filament and configuring the filament in the slicer?

Will the drive gears still properly feed the filament after the hot end is swapped?

I can't find much info on printing 2.85mm on a Prusa anywhere else or find someone who has successfully done it.
