People asking how far along you are- thoughts?

I feel confused why people are triggered by being asked that? I don’t mind at all when people ask me and I think they are just excited and have good intentions. I love talking about it, doesn’t matter who is asking me. I understand that it’s “not appropriate” in the sense of sometimes you might make the mistake of asking someone when they aren’t pregnant, but I am so why be bothered?
