Wreck-It Ralph [Spoilers]

So my 2 year old has fallen in love with this movie which has resulted in me watching it 20 or 30 times. Found this plot hole:

When Ralph wrecks Vanellope's kart, she runs back into Diet Cola Mountain and he returns to his own game. When Ralph comes back to Sugar Rush, Vanellope has somehow been captured by King Candy and placed in his fungeon. My initial thought was that King Candy was aware of DCM, but considering earlier in the movie Ralph and Vanellope escaped the chase by going through the secret entrance. So how did King Candy find and capture her?
