Can't sign into my account because of 2SV refusing to send the message to my phone.
I'm using this post as a last resort because I've already tried everything I can think of. I'm using a UAE Sony account on my PS4 which randomly signed me out a few months ago and now I can't sign back in because the 2-Step-Verification thing isn't sending the message to my phone number.
After some research I found out that I can just turn 2SV off as long as I have my login info, my console's serial number, and an email receipt for a purchase that I've made on it. However, after contacting support on the official site I was immediately told that I'm contacting the wrong region. After attempting to contact the correct region this time the chat bot told me that there's too much traffic and that I should try another time.
I've been trying to contact a real agent through this chat bot on and off for well over a few weeks now. Every time I'm told that the queue is too long and that I should try a different time no matter what time of day it is, and calling the phone number leads nowhere because no one picks up. I'm almost certain now that there are no Sony support agents in UAE or the middle east at all, and am out of solutions to try and recover my account.
