never going to starlake again

went to Tyler Childers tonight (he put on a great show thankfully) but the parking situation is worse than i have ever seen.

shot to get here about 1.5-2hrs early for traffic to get in (which in itself is ridiculous), ended up taking 2.5hrs and were directed towards the overflow lot that ended up being full and being told by staff “just park anywhere” and they directed me to then park essentially blocked in. there were still cars backed up 22 when we were coming across the bridge over it, i have no idea if any of those people actually saw the show (i doubt it).

concert ended at about 11 and we weren’t even parked far from the overflow lot exit and it’s after midnight and we’re still not out of the lot. finally getting organized into lines to leave but there’s no structure or staff helping people leave or directing traffic.

absolute shitshow in general, not remotely prepared for this many people, and constantly heard people “what the fuck”-ing the staff and the organizing here, saying they’ve never seen it this bad.

i’m prepared for downvotes saying that this is a normal experience for here but i’ve been here numerous times for bands of various sizes and have never experienced such incompetence.

edit: we ended up getting out of the parking lot at about 12:30a — and again, we were relatively close to the exit.
