I hate prerequisite requirements for diplomas

I was originally working on Trinity’s LTCL Digitl Piano Performance diploma but life got in the way and didnt finnish my repertoire so didnt do it. Today I found out about ABRSM’S Digital Piano Performance diploma and wanted to finally get the diploma. But my excitement was beheaded on the spot instantly when i found out that I needed a Grade 8 ABRSM to be qualified.

I can already play some of the compositions in the repertoire. Why is this a requirement? I can work on the Trinitys one but ABRSM has much more validity and has more posh so it just makes want to do nothing. Feels like Im settling for less.
