My games suddenly started maxing out my CPU when they shouldn't.
So I have a decent laptop that I have been using to play games (Tabletop simulator, GTFO, SM2) for almost a year now. I'm not sure exactly what happened as it was working perfectly as early as yesterday (The only thing that has happened sense was I shut down my device). I have had this problem before but I don't know how I fixed it in the past. I have tried simple things such as making sure windows is updated, my Nvidia drivers were updated, I made sure that the priority for which drivers to use was set, and I tried uninstalling the windows updates I most recently installed. I am currently considering uninstalling my display adapters using Device Manager and letting windows automatically reinstall them, but I'm not sure if that's safe to do. Does anyone have any other tips or should I just wait in case this is a windows issue that will resolve itself? Also, I can give any specs you may want, I'm just not exactly sure how I would do that (I am not very well versed on the inner workings of my computer).
