Capers in Roast Beef Pasta?

Making a creamy pasta sauce today with shallots, white wine and mushrooms. It will be topped with shredded roast beef that I’ve been slow cooking since 9:00 this morning.

I feel like I’m missing something and for some reason I want to put capers in this thing ??? Am I nuts? What can I add to my sauce that I’m not thinking of…
