Got fired from J1 today

Not gonna lie, this one stung. It was not due to performance but rather the team is restructuring and my position is not needed anymore.

Luckily I have j2, half the salary as my j1, but will keep the lights on while I look for another senior role.

Also, I was in final stages at two other Js, as I was hopeful to onboard j3 for the new year. It’s possible I could have an offer in hand this time next week.

This is a weird feeling. I would be freaking out more if it wasn’t for j2.

Not sure what the point of this post is, other than to say I’m glad I OE’ed at J1 since mid 2023. Best of luck out there yall
