ADHD Meds and Stress

Hey all! I’ve posted on here before about how out of control my stress levels are. I’ve had my oura ring for a year now and have realized when I take my 20mg of Adderall or 40mg of Vyvanse (working on finding which one is better for me), my stress levels are always insanely high vs the 1-2 days a week where I don’t take it and actually get some restorative time. I would think it would establish my baseline and adjust but since it hasn’t, is this maybe not because of the meds and just my regular stress levels that happen to fall on the days I take these meds? Wondering if anyone experiences anything similar. It’s a bummer because me just functioning as a normal human seems to make my ring think I’m insanely stressed!

For some background, I do need to be on these meds as I have severe ADHD and need them to focus. I did genetic testing that shows I’m an ultra-metabolizer so this is the lowest dose where I can still feel the effects (that wear off really quickly sadly anyways). So I can’t lower the dose.
