Is Lebron about to turn Prime Luka into Westbrook 2.0? Or should the Lakers trade Lebron now before that happens?

We've seen Lebron over his career fight with other ball dominant players who are stars - essentially the fight is over who should have the ball when the game stakes go up. Lebron has always won as the alpha in those wars because he's generally always been the best player - that was true with Wade on the Heat, and it was still true with Westbrook on the Lakers.

Current Lebron isn't better than current Luka though. This is the time for Lebron to become a #2. So is Lebron actually going to take a backseat to Luka? If he doesn't I feel like this roster just doesn't make any sense at all. Obviously the Lakers are going to trade for a center (Nurkic? Vucevic?) and that won't be a problem in a few days.

But their fit offensively isn't the only issue. Defensively, these two are a nightmare. Add in Reaves and some of the bad defenders on the Lakers and this team might give up more points than we've ever seen before.

But fundamentally, are the Lakers heading for disaster this year? I don't think the Lakers care because Luka is now their future. They might just want to move on from Lebron entirely, which would've been an insane statement 12 hours ago. Thoughts on how Lebron and Luka are going to work together?
