Wouldn’t Oda Mae Brown( Whoopi Goldberg) be in a lot of legal trouble following the events of Ghost?

Im sure that the deaths of Willy Lopez and Carl Brunner would make the nightly news so that would mean that the bank manager would most likely spot Rita Miller on TV pretending to be Oda Mae Brown(but she is). So wouldn’t the bank manager put 2 and 2 together and realized that she stole all this money. Oda Mae would no longer have Sam’s help and I don’t think Molly could legally find a way to help her. Even if the police found out the Carl was trying to steal the money and had Sam killed the cops might say think that Oda Mae was in on it.

By the way I know it’s a movie but just trying to have some fun.
