what is actually happening with the matchmaking lobbies in this game

the matchmaking lobbies in this game are disgustingly unbalanced that i literally cannot even blame me or my team for our losses anymore, the lower ranks in competitive feel completely littered with smurfs and teams with extreme skill disparity.

the amount of games that i have played in bronze and silver have been a majority of stomp or get stomped, and very little evenly matched games. quick play has been similar as well but is less frustrating due to the fact that it's quick play

like, what is actually going on with the matchmaking in this game? i can't even blame it on the rank reset anymore because there are literally level 10-15's who are having an insanely high level of play on their characters that are clearly smurfs in about every other game i'm in.

i love this game and often take breaks during both winning and losing streaks, but it's getting more and more frustrating to play with the amount of skill disparity in teams in all of these games
