hello super cool BAND KIDS

so here's the thing. i am not by any means a band kid. i like tbdbitl at football games, but i don't know anything about playing instruments or marching around. so unfortunately for me, i am now dating a BAND KID. he was in band in high school, which was technically 5 years ago, but i just graduated this past summer, so i am still not all with the whole band thing. my school never had a band because we didn't have a football team and it was too small, so all i know about band is based around band kid stereotypes. he was like the first chair tuba guy, idk the terms in marching band stuff. but yeah. so i'm trying to learn more about band, especially TUBY players as i call it. additionally, i was a tennis/bball girly so i was definitely not very accepting of the lil band kids, even though (as i mentioned before) we didn't even HAVE a band. it didn't help that i went on a weird OUTING (i will not call it a date i refuse to do so) with some weird band kid and it was quite embarrassing for me. some shit went down and a lot of secondhand embarrassment was present. but now i am in a happy relationship with a former band kid, and i am here so i can understand what he found so fun about his time in band. if u have anything you'd like to say to a former "band denier" (idk umm) to teach me your ways i would appreciate that :0 thanks babes
