I bought my first computer in 2009 and started with Ubuntu 9.04. Stuck with the various LTS versions of Ubuntu since then. Didn't ever use Windows. Just last week I thought it's been a long time and maybe I should check out other Linux distros. I follow Linux Tex on youtube and he always recommended Mint as the best Linux distro. So I decided to install Mint. I'm pretty happy so far. It is much more customizable than Ubuntu and looks very simple and efficient. FYI, I'm not a professional. I'm a grad student in humanities and use my computer only for basic stuff such as reading PDFs, browsing the web, using LibreOffice, etc. Nothing more.

P.S. -- Linux Tex has recently started saying that Zorin is the best Linux distro. Personally, Zorin didn't look as appealing to me. I tried it. But it was too shiny and flashy for my taste and less customizable than Mint.
