Mechanic shops

I am wanting to hear what others have paid for mechanic shops to run a “diagnostic test” on your vehicle. Recently had a battery replaced locally and it cost $460 dollars. $200 for the battery and $150 for the diagnostic test + the rest in labor. I’ve had the same thing done at shops that charge $30 so you can imagine my suprise at the $150 dollar charge.
