Discrimination Conciliation- Pregnancy
I am in Utah, United States. I have received a determination statement from the UALD stating they show reasonable cause for discrimination. What can I or what can I not ask for in the brief I am submitting for the conciliation meeting?
Short explanation: I was around 12 weeks pregnant when my OBGYN applied a weight restriction on me. No lifting, pulling, or pushing anything over 20lbs. During a conversation with my direct supervisor I requested alternate accommodations as well as suggested other possible solutions that would have accommodated the weight restriction. I, however, was denied and removed from the company's work schedule immediately. I was more than capable and willing to work. I had expressed this not only to my direct supervisor but also to the other supervisors on staff. I wanted to continue to work due to being a single mother of a special needs 5yr old and was pregnant with my 2nd child. I was told me that they would see me when I got back from maternity leave.
I have never been in this type of situation before. I would very much appreciate some information and guidance.
