Silambarasan TR : How he failed to achieve the super stardom

I came upon a shitpost on this sub that ridiculed Simbu and Pritivi for not becoming superstars in their respective fields.Pritivi speaks for himself in each of his films with his powerful performances, so I am not here to speak for him. However, Simbu had everything, at least as it appears on the page. As is well known, Simbu had an exceptional beginning in contrast to other young heroes of the era. He quickly proved to be a promising star who could hold the title of "Superstar," but It was precisely that thought that ultimately brought him to ruin. The entire industry refused to collaborate with him because of his inflated ego, which included not arriving on sets on time, not dubbing his parts on time, meddling in casting decisions, and many other reasons. People just started to hate him more as time passed, especially during the "Beep Song" time. Despite all of this, he still had a strong fan base hoping for him to make a strong comeback, which he did in 2021 with "Maanadu," which turned out to be his first 100 crore film, and he as a person changed drastically from being cocky to composed. He has also undergone an amazing transformation and looks better than ever, but it is too late to reclaim the lost crown....However, Dhanush, his rival, outperformed him with his captivating works and is now a well-known Indian star with two more Hollywood films to complete.

Since this is a lengthy post that analyzes his failed stardom, I thought I would share all the 10 announced and rumored projects that were dropped. Please feel free to take a break.

1) A/C - Director SJ Surya (Dropped)

The film was supposed to feature Asin as the heroine, and there are also pictures from a photo shoot that are circulating. Simbu and SJ Surya are the epitome of what young people in the early 1990s and 2000s could have hoped for, with A.R. Rahman composing the music and SJ Surya directing.

2) Vaaliban - STR himself (Dropped)

He decided to direct a movie for the third time after the great success of his first two. However, this is when all the rumors that he did not cooperate on sets started to circulate. The movie was supposed to be a GVP winner, but it did not take off because no producer came in to fund it. The movie was supposed to be shot in New York, with an American actress playing the film's love interest.

3) VettaiMannan - Director Nelson (Dropped)

This film was supposed to be Nelson's directorial debut, but it was never fully shot because of the excessive budget and the absence of Simbu on the sets. Nelson made his debut with Kolamavu Kokila, starring Nayanthara, after waiting seven long years while still working as a director for Vijay TV shows. He is now working with Rajini for the second time..One of the ADs of Vettaimannan was Sivakarthikeyan, who is now a star. The roles have been reversed and times have changed.

4) VadaChennai - Director Vetrimaaran (Replaced)

Yes, you read that correctly. Simbu was supposed to play Anbu, as Vetrimaaran stated in an interview, but he also messed it up. He was later replaced by Dhanush, who also produced the film. GVP also opted out of this project.

5) Untitled Vishnu Vardhan film (Rumour)

After Aarambam, it was rumored that Vishnu is rebooting the Billa franchise with Simbu; however, there has been no official confirmation of this news, but VV stated that after Aarambam, he was supposed to do a film and waited so long that he walked out and made Yatchan.

6) Kettavan (Dropped)

This was one of the most anticipated films of his career, as the posters generated a lot of buzz during the early internet era...Supposed to be an Vampire love story or atleast that's what we thought it was.

7) Kaan - Director Selvaraghavan (Dropped)

Well, this had to be the most unexpected collaboration and announcement of that time. Well, the film was canceled due to a lack of funds, as Selvaraghavan's wife and the producer, a private company, were unable to fund it further. Catherine Tresa and Tapsee were also in this film.

8) KO - Director KV Anand (Replaced)

Simbu was replaced once more because he demanded a specific actress to co-star with him and demanded a large salary, prompting the production company to replace him with Jeeva, who delivered one of his best performances.

That's it, These were all the films that he missed out on, If these had came out and worked he would have been in a totally different league. Sorry for taking your time, and thank you for reading all of this.
