[KCD2] What happened to Pavlena?

So I completed the quest where I save Pavlina from being abducted, and I took her back to her mother and I chose not to kill jakesh and they were both mad at me after that. I come back a couple hours later and Pavlena is nowhere to be found and her mom is hanging from the ceiling. I audibly gasped, but I want to know where Pavlena went? I feel like they kind of left that part out or maybe I missed it?.
