Satiety working TOO well?
I started keto 15 days ago and I'm not very hungry at all; I got through the sugar withdrawal and now I'm easily satiated. I have a lot of weight to lose and I'm worried my metabolism is going to slow way down because I'm not eating enough calories?
Today I've eaten an 80/20 hamburger patty and asparagus; I could easily be done for the day. I'm going to force myself to eat a hard-boiled egg before I go to bed.
That's my first concern, until I read through old posts in here and see so many people losing a lot of weight quickly. I'm sure not everything I read is true, but enough probably is for me to feel some feelings about it.
In 15 days I've lost just 2.2kg and I'm feeling like this is just going to be another diet that everyone is "killing it" on, everyone but me. 'Water weight' yawn.
I'll be 55 on Sunday and never had a serious weight problem until the pandemic and months of lockdowns. Seeing what I allowed to happen to myself is brutal tbh.
I guess I see how much weight I need to lose to correct some health issues, and thinking about losing it 1.1 whopping kilograms per week is demoralizing. Is it just me? I feel like it's just me and everyone is whispering the weight loss secret to each other, except me.
Yeah, it's a lonely time. Thanks for reading.
