How repairable is this herringbone? Cat went to town on it.

Hi my cat must’ve been playing with this herringbone and it has a few bent links and the middle is twisted and looks like about to break. Is it repairable? Would someone be able to remove the broken parts and put it back together a bit shorter? TYIA
