Hiking shoes with flexible heel counters?

I have a heel deformity called "Haglunds heel", where my heel has grown extra bone and thus making it painful when irritated. This can be reduced with shoes that have flexible or no heel counters at all.

Unfortunately, every single hiking shoe that I found is built around stability with sturdy heels.

Thus, why I'm asking if anyone knows about hiking shoes, preferably waterproof, that don't have sturdy heels?
