What makes a $1000+ bag "worth it"?
In other words, how did you decide you wanted a bag that cost anywhere from $2,000-$10,000 (I think this range is typical for the traditional "luxe" tier I see - Loewe, LV, Gucci, Fendi, Celine, Dior etc and then quite a bit more expensive Chanel, Hermes etc) vs a bag that's also "nice" but not "luxe"?
I have a Mulberry and a Le Tanneur (acquired a few days ago but I'm so, so obsessed with it) and I think they're really "nice" bags and all I'll ever "need". But of course I wonder if I'll get a different type of enjoyment out of the luxe tier. Before you took the plunge, what was your thought process? Did you always want a particular bag and that was your gateway? As a reward for some type of milestones and now you're really enjoying the luxe experience? Do you mostly buy the higher tier now, or a mix of prices?
I don't have enough disposable income where I can drop a couple thousands on a bag without thinking, as I suspect most of us do not, but it's doable if I budget my "fun savings" accordingly. Just wondering how that first bag decision happened for y'all.
