Apps for Work

My IT team is hooking me up with a new Macbook. Typically they lock everyone's machines down so that they can't install their own apps without getting permission from IT (which is usually denied). I will have the only Macbook in the company so I believe the permissions can be different if I make a case for why I should be able to have more free reign over my computer - specifically I'm thinking about installing various fonts and things like photoshop actions.

So IT is asking for a list of apps I use. Aside from Adobe Creative Suite, what else should I be asking for? I'm kind of hoping that if I ask for more things, they'll get overwhelmed and just cave and let me do what I want with the machine. What's going to help make my case so that they don't try to lock the machine down.
