waistbeads

I'm curious, how do you guys feel about waistbeads becoming trendy and non-african women beginning to wear them. I know they're not supposed to be seen when it's worn and should be hidden underneath your clothing, and i've noticed that the people who do wear them like to wear a lot and wear it in the middle of their stomachs. So i'm just wondering what is everyone's take on that? Personally I just hate seeing white people wear it, and that they're trying to gentrify it by making their own and calling it "belly chains"
