ChatGPT is a curse to education !!!

Hi there,

1st semester, grad program, international student.

Just want to speak out loud to release my anxiety with team mates who abuse chatgpt.

Teamup with few folks who have same background. group work are divded and assigned properly, meeting online and after class periodically to ensure engagement and participation.

Result : group assignment ended up with too much of contents that has nothing to do with the assignment (dummy contents??). Feeling like the contents are from another planet or so.

What should I do ? Tend to re-do eveything with another team mate who is serious about education here (like-minded).

Update: We tried our best to encourage the team members to revisit their work and update ... It turns out that they don't (mostly). Hence my other team member spent his best effort to update the work and I helped him out a bit to complete another task. Then submitted.

We later came to the professor and he or she advised us to form another group.

We then informed the lazy team members and some of them were pissed and claimed us irresponsible for leaving half way and putting the pressure on them.

In fact we spent significant effort in two assignments and the final project has not started so there is no pressure on anyone at the time.

I think they technically play the victim card and my good teammate said they're just pissed because they lost a free ride.
