Any exclusive formula feeding ladies here?
Hi! I’m a FTM due this April. I have been going back and forth this entire pregnancy what I plan to do as far as breastfeeding or formula feeding. For a while, I had settled on I will at least try to breastfeed when the baby is here and see how it goes and most likely do combo-feeding. But now that I’m getting closer to the due date and thinking about postpartum life, I see a lot of advantages of exclusively formula feeding. Like how it would allow my husband to help with feeds, how I could get some of my body back to being mine, not worrying about boob issues like mastitis, etc. However, I feel a lot of pressure to breastfeed. A lot of the fitness accounts I follow of women who I respect and recently had babies breastfeed. My hospital is very big on it. I even feel it from my husband even though it may not be intentional. The whole how it’s better for the baby… you’ll lose weight faster… all that. So, I’m just curious if there are any fit moms here who exclusively use formula or did exclusively use formula? If so, what were your reasons and do you feel it positively affected your postpartum fitness journey at all?
