Is It Ok To Be Glued To This Sub
My fellow Fedders, don’t be ashamed if you’re glued to this sub right now. Some people’s own family don’t truly understand what we’re going through. I have a friend who said they can’t stop reading and was ashamed. Well, we are being inundated with new developments, emails, misinformation seemingly by the minute. All of this while going through a traumatic potentially life changing experience. No one knows the outcome, but here you can draw on some good will, encouragement, and even a joke or two.
Lions never expect the buffalo herd to charge, but when they do it’s hell to pay. We’re all at a point where none of us could have ever genuinely thought we would be as Federal employees, as patriots, or U.S. citizens. No one can tell you how to feel right now. No one is in your mind or knows how you feel as the last line of defense to Democracy. It doesn’t matter if you are GS-5 or GS-15, we’re on level ground in this fight. If reading this sub gives you comfort, then do it. Do what it takes to keep yourself. Do what it takes to hold the line. We don’t know what may be next, but to quote Glorilla “at the end of the day, the day has got to end.” DO YOU!
EDIT: I’m not advocating anyone read this sub 24/7. I’m merely saying allow every person the space to process this TRAUMA as they see fit. We’re dealing with trauma. People process traumatic events differently. LET THEM.
