They underestimated federal workers

The past couple of weeks have been such a whirlwind. But I want to say, It’s empowering and refreshing to see fellow feds come to the same resolve that so many of us on here have come to. By the time we got the stupid “fork” email, it really felt like we all collectively got so annoyed and fed up at that moment. As soon as I personally felt that, I checked in here and sure enough… the “hold the line! Don’t resign!” mantra had started! I don’t think I’ve ever been prouder to be a fed.

I really think these bozos underestimated that we would actually have resolve. They began their campaign to harass us into quitting and so far we’ve all said “pound sand.” They thought we’d just run away.

We’re not politicians. We aren’t rich. We need our jobs and we’re actually proud of our work. Combine that with their buffoonery and so far they don’t seem to know how to handle it.

Obviously it’s going to get even bumpier and downright messy. But I, for one, am here for it. I took an oath. I proudly do work that directly impacts soldiers and I take it VERY seriously.

If they want to send ignorant emails showing they understand nothing about government, if they want to belittle and insult us, if they want to hate us… fine. Do it. I have no more fucks to give about that. I have important shit to do. I’m gonna keep doing my job and doing it well. They can keep talking. Actions speak louder than words, and personally I’m happy to let the unions speak for me in court at this point.

Keep up the good fight. We are hard working and dedicated people no matter what anyone says. 💪
