SEVIS Check-In i-94

Hi guys, I still can’t access my i-94 even though I have already arrived in the US. I try to check travel history and they recognize that I’m in the US but when I try to get my Most Recent i-94, it just says “No record found for traveller.” My program start date is on the 13th of January. It also says “Active Provisional i-94 on-file.” Does that mean they already have my i-94? If so, why can’t i retrieve it? What could happen if I check in late?
