Kingrinder K2 with delonghi dedica EC685?(Pressurized basket)
so i was on the look for a good and affordable grinder capable for espresso, and the k2 really caught my eye. Currently it is at 88$ on amazon. I use a delonghi dedica EC685 with the pressurized portafilter which comes with the machine. Before this i used to get my beans grinded from a local store and it is an immense hassle as if i change my beans say from dark roast to medium roast, there is now way to dial in a good shot its either a jackpot or my machines gonna get clogged or the espresso will flow like a waterfall.
My question is that can the K2 grind good for espresso? Although i went thru few other posts regarding the K2, i still am not entirely sure as there were quite a lot mixed opinions. Many say that the K6 is a few notches above, but since its priced at about 130$ on amazon, it exceeds my budget. It also seems that apart from the K1, K2 and K6 there are no other options available on amazon(at least currently). More importantly, can i get a 1:2 ratio in about 30 secs, along with a good tasting espresso? Also, if i decide in the future to upgrade to a naked portafilter basket then can i still use this?
I also have a other questions apart from those related to the k2:
- What is the difference between the k1 and the k2? on amazon there is a 10$ difference, so is it worth to save 10$ and go for the K1
- Are there any other grinders(preferably below 100$) which can compare to the K2 and be better for espresso? A few which i found are 1zpresso Q(altho,10$ over the budget), 1zpresso Q air, timemore c3 esp, timemore c3s
- Is it worth buying the electric grinders which are available i this range(about 100$)? After watching James Hoffman's video on cheap electric grinders, i feel like that isnt a wise decision
Any help would be hugely appreciated😊😊
