First laparoscopy tomorrow - question about pain management

Having my first endo laparoscopy tomorrow in NYC. They have me on ibuprofen + Tylenol of course but also oxy. I’ve had another (unrelated) surgery before and I hated the oxy and ended up flushing it after I got home from the hospital. My question is - is the pain so severe that you couldn’t imagine going without it? Wondering if I can get by with just ibuprofen and Tylenol. I understand everyone’s different but wondering if there’s a general consensus! TIA
