Starting a new game

I just discovered this game a few days ago and was immediately impressed by the beautiful visual style. The sprites are amazing and have a nostalgic vibe to em, I also love the type changes on pokemon, new movesets and abilities which help keep things fresh.

I started my run on hard mode cause I want the challenge and picked mudkip as a starter, probably not gonna keep him but I'll roll with him for a while.

First member that I would like to have on my team is breloom. I need him to learn spore, do I have to level him up as shroomish until he learns it or can I do it in any other way?

My plan for breloom is this: Nature: Jolly Ability: Technician Moves: Spore, Swords Dance, Mach punch, Bullet seed
