Hints of Ekko's future lore wise and possible spin off

After the finale some people were wondering about his Z-Drive, and if what we see in the game were champions at their prime, but it seems what we've seen in Arcane was only a prototype and he'll still get all his abilities sometime later.

Also, Ekko's VA (Arcane and in LOR game), Reed, liked a tweet saying "We know you signed a contract to the spin off already".

Christian already confirmed Renata, Urgot, Camille and others are going to rise after Arcane timeline, and you can't have Zaun without Ekko (right?)

Amanda (writer for Arcane) responded to a fan thanking her for making timebomb happy at least in one universe and she replied "hopefully more than one universe", prior to S2 she had hinted about AU replying "everything is possible in another universe" when asked about timebomb - although this time she could mean as in skinlines too, since supposedly they're getting valetine skins in WR

These things make me think they already have a more concrete plan for him and he could be the main char or at least be in one of the planned spin offs! Thoughts?

The Making of Ekko SOURCE

Ekko’s look in the finale is one step closer to his League of Legends design.

A rejuvenated Ekko swoops into action in Episode 9 with a “prototype of his iconic Z Drive” as well as an “improvised weapon made from a clock hand that evokes his iconic bat,” says Baudry.

Ekko is not yet the champion we meet in League of Legends, but his look in the ARCANE series finale is a send-up of who he’ll later become.

“Ekko is a character that our fans love, but we knew he wouldn’t have all his abilities by the time of the finale,” Baudry explains. “We wanted to show the potential of the boy savior, the genius with the potential to defy time.”

Throughout ARCANE, Ekko wears his signature green and orange colors along with a white hourglass symbol painted on his head. Baudry notes that for his Episode 9 design, they wanted “to connect [Ekko] visually to Jinx,” so that both characters’ distinctive looks resonated with each other.

“The color palette of this costume of Ekko is mixed with Jinx’s color palette,” Baudry adds. “There are visual elements and graffiti that [call back to] their fight in Season One.”
